Galatians 3:22

 

(Galatians 3:22)

『But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.』

Although the gospel is good news, The gospel begins with fearful words. The scripture had concluded all under sin. 『Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?』(Luke 3: 7) 『What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;』(Romans 3: 9)

The Bible says that everyone is in sin. Although you confess that I believe in Jesus, it is of no use if you do not escape sin. Romans (6:6)『speaks of the way out of sin. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.』

The Bible says that salvation does not mean that we believe in Jesus, but that we must die with Jesus. For he that is dead is freed from sin. To die is to be judged. God allows those who repent to die with Jesus who died on the cross. Those who enter into Jesus' death are judged to death, and God declares that they are free from sin. How do we know we are dead? The Bible says that we can know it through the fruits of repentance. 『Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.』(1 John 2:15)

“Not to love the world” is the same means “not to love yourself ” in Luke (9:23-24).『And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.』

He who wants to save his life will forsake Jesus before cross. The representative was Peter. Peter was one of the 12 disciples who confessed that Jesus was the Son of God and abandoned everything and followed Jesus.

The disciples did not respond to Jesus' death.『But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.』(Luke 9:32) They did not realize that Jesus would die on the cross.

Many times the Bible says, "You must die on the cross with Jesus." If there is no response, It is the same as the Twelve. What the Bible says is that those who do not respond to the cross are old-men. The old man does not change even though he is in such glory. Only one, who is crucified with Jesus on the cross, is born again to new life. Peter assured Jesus: “These people forsake you but I never forsake” Jesus responded, “You will deny me three times before the rooster crows.” Peter thus abandoned Jesus and fled from the cross. For the sake of preserving his life.

Repentance and reborn are given only to those who crucify the old life. 『Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.』(Romans 6:4) Only those who realize that they are under God's judgment are born again. They will not enter the cross except to realize that it is impossible to improve, and to realize that the old life will not change without dying. If people are baptized and believe that the old man is dead, but still live in sin as in the old man, this is evidence of unrepentance.『Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.』(1 John 3: 9)

Repentance is the death of the old-man. But he who does not repent does not realize that he is still in darkness. Salvation frees from darkness, fights sin, and becomes overcomer. Every day we must confirm the death of the old-man and fight to prevent the old-man from surviving. Satan tries to resurrect the old-man. Satan mimics God. So you must pray daily to fight against Satan. How much should we arm? The Bible tells us to wear armor, helmets, and shields. It speaks of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, and armed with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit can defeat Satan. Satan tries to bring down the believers in all kinds of ways.

Only those who overcome will be recorded in the book of life.『For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.』(1 John 5:4) The Bible tells us about faith in (1 John 5:6).『This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.』

 

Peter is speaking of water. Water represents the dead of Noah's day.『The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:』(1 Peter 3:21)

『So water represents baptism. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?』(Romans 6:3) All are in darkness before are born again. All are trapped under sin. If you do not realize this, you will not be saved. The old man must die to escape from darkness. The Bible tells us that it is the heart of man that is false and more corrupt than all things. For the lie is in darkness.

 

Although today's church people believe and confess that Jesus was the Son of God and died on the cross for himself, all are denied Jesus unless the life of the inner man in darkness, they are under God's judgment. If the old man does not die, he still loves the world and thinks he has been saved himself, like a placebo called Prasibo. Those who are united with Jesus on the cross will have no regret for the world. Rather than being tied to past life, we must be born again and moving on to new life in the future. When the old man dies with Jesus on the cross, he is born of resurrection life. Resurrection life cannot be taken by anyone.
