Galatians 3:18-21

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.  Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.  Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. (Galatians 3:18-21)

Because of transgressions. This means violating established rules or regulations, but what it means here is to leave God's Word and fall into sin. In 1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Because of that sin, the apostle Paul is saying that God added the law. Eve sinned by eating the fruit that said, "Don't eat the fruit of the tree that God knows for good and evil." In other words, she thinks that she can be deceived by Satan and become like God herself without God. So she ate the fruit means she believed Satan's words, said she would leave God, and became a child of Satan from God's child. If a man becomes a child of Satan, he dies of God. The relationship is broken. This is a sin against God.

God trapped "the spirits that crushed Satan's delusion" in the soil to become human, but humans forgot God. When the spirit wears the body, the spirit given by God enters the body, but when the spirit takes off the body, the spirit comes out. So, the spirit must go back to the kingdom of God. However, spirits that have forgotten God cannot return to the kingdom of God again. Spirits from the flesh must wear the clothing of the spirit, otherwise they become naked spirits. The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:2-3 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

God is good. It means that those who have left God are evil. So humans are trapped in the flesh and become evil. Humans think they are good if they think and look good. The standard is not God, but self. That is "his righteousness." In the kingdom of God, the desire for spirits to become like God without God is their righteousness. Those who value their righteousness have no interest in God.

God made the first covenant in Genesis 3:15, but later humans refused to find a woman's descendants. No one but Noah and his family were found. God destroyed the world with water and contained the meaning of judgment through the rainbow covenant. It means that those who have left God and those who do not come into Christ will be destroyed in the future.

The humans who started from Noah began to flourish again. God chose Abraham and established the nation of Israel as the model of the world. In Deuteronomy 12:8, Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. And this time God gave the Law to the Israelites.

It is to find Christ through the law. The law is to put down your righteousness, find Christ as worthy of what God said, realize that all humans are sinners, and return to God. By the way, the Israelites thought they were righteous because they kept the law well through the law and sacrificed when they broke the law. The Israelites, like Noah's day, never realized God's will.

The law is not to do what you see, but to do what God sees fit. The purpose of God's giving the law to the people is to make them understand sin in the law. The Apostle Paul in Romans 3:19-20Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

For example, if you pay tithing, you feel like paying tithing and paying a small fee for living in this world. Because, every human being living in this world is a stranger. When you realize that you are a stranger, you will think about where your hometown is and eventually you will have to return to the kingdom of God. When we meditate on why humans came to this world over the kingdom of God, they realized that through the events of the Garden of Eden, they were deceived by Satan in the kingdom of God and sinned against God.

So, as they find their way back to the kingdom of God, they discover Christ and realize that they will return to the kingdom of God again with "The Faith of dying with Jesus and resurrecting with Jesus." It is to be realized through the law. So those who have entered Christ are freed from the law and become people of the kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Old Testament era is looking at Christ who will come, and with Jesus at the time, and those living today look at Christ 2000 years ago.

Jesus said to the Israelites, "The law is until the time of John the Baptist", the Jews thought that righteousness could be achieved through the law. In many parables, Jesus is saying that no matter how well you obey the law, you cannot change your state of mind. The fact that the right eye was a crime did not make it complete without one eye. So, it says that the law cannot reach God's righteousness, and the Jews do not understand because their eyes and ears are closed.

God tells us that the law is the one who will eventually be judged by God. All those under the law are sinners. Today, those who look to the church not to sin through the law are already sinners before they sin. Does it make sense to see whether the sinners who have the original sins commit the world's sins or not? So in Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. When you go into Jesus Christ, you are free from the problem of sin. Those who say that they cannot believe this word and that they should revisit the law for themselves will apply to Galatians 3:23. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.Faith is faith that dies with Jesus and resurrects with Jesus. However, those who realize in 3:22 become as in 3:24. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Those who die with Jesus and do not have faith to resurrect with him are still sinners who are locked up under the law and must die. There is no way out of sin except to die with Jesus Christ. This is faith from heaven. God applies the law to sinners. Because the law is a perfect law. However, the law does not apply to those who are in Christ, but by the law of the Holy Spirit. For Christ died by the law. Since it has already been applied, it is never again subject to the law. Therefore, those who are in Christ are dead to the law and are not affected by the law. So, those who are born again confess that they are dead every day.
